Fall fun heats up the studio

Nothing says fall like a one of a kind pumpkin! To celebrate the first day of October, Flameworker Eric Goldschmidt from the Corning Museum of Glass visited the Winging It! Buffalo Style studio to create a custom pumpkin piece using his portable flameworking machine. You don’t have to go all the way to Corning to participate in a live flameworking demonstration, though. The museum will team up with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra tonight (Wednesday, October 1st) for its performance of Bela Bartók’s one-act opera, Bluebeard’s Castle, set to awe-inspiring scenery designed by world renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly.
