Just because you’re not a professional athlete doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take care of yourself. That was the message at Ralph Wilson Stadium on Tuesday, where the Bills announced they are teaming up with Independent Health to encourage fans to “lead the charge” when it comes to their own personal fitness goals. They’re challenging Western New Yorkers to get involved in a six-week, interactive fitness competition. The Bills are even giving away some great football themed prizes, including a trip to the 2015 Super Bowl, as an incentive. Winging It! Buffalo Style‘s Lauren Hall and Meteorologist Todd Santos, along with other members of the local media, were invited to participate in a drills competition on the field to help launch the contest. Lauren caught up with their team captain, Bills Offensive Lineman Eric Wood, to see what he thought about their performance.
The Independent Health and Buffalo Bills Wellness Challenge runs from October 6 to November 16, 2014.
