On September 11, 2001, Disaster Mental Health Volunteer Peggy McGee-Smith reported to Buffalo’s Red Cross chapter as soon as she heard about the terrorist attacks. She was told to rent a car and get to Ground Zero as soon as she could. Peggy stayed in New York for three weeks, helping family members of victims. She recently returned to the site of the attacks for the dedication of the new 9/11 Museum, and visited Winging It! Buffalo Style to share what she learned from both experiences in honor of the 13th anniversary of September 11th.
