For decades, girls have learned community involvement and leadership through Girl Scouts. Not only does this help the development of social skills, but it can also boost confidence and integrity. Back to school season is a great time to think about extra-curricular activities, and the Girls Scouts of WNY could be a good choice for your daughter. Winging It’s Lauren Hall was joined by CEO of the Girl Scouts of WNY, Cindy Odom and Girl Scout Ambassador, Mara Scive, to talk about the benefits to this program. The three also discussed one of the Girl Scouts upcoming events, “Women of Distinction Dinner”. This event will be held on Thursday, September 18 at the Buffalo Marriott Niagara Hotel at 5:30pm. Proceeds from the event will help Girl Scouts of WNY provide programming to girls throughout the council. For tickets to the event and for more information on joining Girl Scouts, visit GSWNY.org.
