“Over the Tavern” Explores History of Life in the Larkin District

We’re familiar with all the festivities happening over at Larkin Square, but it wasn’t always a bustling city center. One Western New York native is telling his family’s story set in the surroundings of south buffalo and Larkin District in the 1950’s. Tom Dudzick, the playwright and author of “Over the Tavern” joined Winging It’s Lauren Hall and Director of Fun at Larkin Square, Leslie Zemsky, on the couch to discuss the play. “Over the Tavern” is celebrating it’s 20 anniversary, after originally premiering at Studio Arena in 1994. Tom will be speaking at Larkin Square’s Author series next Monday, September 8th from 5pm to 6:30pm. He even shared a musical treat with Winging It by performing his original song “Buffalo”!
