Winging it was cooking with Drew Cerza, the Wing King, in the kitchen this morning as we gear up for this weekend’s National Buffalo Wing Festival. The Wing King put a twist on the classic chicken wing with a lighter option – Chicken Wing Sliders. Check out the recipe below:
1/3 cup Buffalo Wing Sauce, Frank’s RedHot preferred
4 cups shredded, cooked chicken
12 slider rolls or 6 large Kaiser rolls
1 ½ cups crumbled blue cheese
Blue Cheese dressing
- Mix Buffalo Wing sauce and chicken in a saucepan. Heat until warm.
- Spoon chicken mixture on bottom half of rolls, dividing evenly. Top each portion with ¼ cup blue cheese. Cover with top of rolls.
- Heat filled sandwiches in 350 degree oven until cheese melts and sandwiches are hot. Serve with additional blue cheese dressing if desired.
