The countdown is on for Buffalo’s big celebrity ballroom dance competition! On Friday, September 5th, Winging It! Buffalo Style‘s Lauren Hall competes in Suneel’s Celebrity Gala at Statler City, to support the Suneel’s Light Research Foundation raise funding and awareness for the fight against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. She’s been hard at work rehearsing at Fred Astaire Dance studios in Amherst, but her score that night will only partially depend on how she and her partner perform for the judges. Every dollar she raises for Suneel’s Light from now until the big night will also contribute to their overall score. You can make a donation towards the cause by voting now at www.suneelscelebritygala.com.
You can also help by visiting Sweet Jenny’s Ice Cream on Main Street in Williamsville, where Owners Howard and Tara Cadmus came up with a delicious way to help in the fight against Duchenne. From Monday, August 25th through Thursday, September 4th, they’ll be selling special ice cream sandwiches, featuring a custom flavor they created for Lauren called “Perk-a-licious” (coffee ice cream with chocolate covered espresso beans). Howard and Tara will be donating proceeds from the sale of these sandwiches straight to Lauren’s fundraising efforts for Suneel’s Light Celebrity Gala. Stay tuned for more ways you can help the the Winging It! Buffalo Style family support the Suneel’s Light Foundation!
