A ‘Day of Caring’ in WNY

Matt was LIVE in the field, covering the annual “Day of Caring”.

United Way of Buffalo & Erie County’s 2014 Day of Caring, Western New York’s largest community service event, mobilizes thousands of volunteers to complete hands-on, community service projects in Erie county.

Volunteers spent the day assisting 129 non profit organizations with hands-on help including planting, pruning, painting, cleaning, beautifying, serving lunch, organizing, mailing, chaperoning and much more.

More than 3,500 volunteers from 145 organizations lent their sweat and precious time to assist 129 area non-profit organizations throughout Western New York.
