Mummy of the Day: Baron & Baroness

Today’s “mummy of the day” featured two separate mummified remains from an old castle in Europe.

Named the baron and the baroness, they are not married but are members of the same family. Their remains were discovered in a family crypt in Sommersdorf Castle in Germany, along with several other mummified bodies of fellow family members.

The descendants of both the baron and baroness still own and operate Sommersdorf today as a bed-and-breakfast.
