#TBT: July 4th in Buffalo

For this week’s very special Throwback Thursday, we jumped in our time machine to revisit a few Independence Day celebrations here in the Queen City dating back to the late 19th century!

We started in 1891 with July 4th celebrations on Main Street, and ended in 1948 with some pretty awesome pictures that captured vintage WBEN news cameras shooting all the action! WBEN would eventually become WIVB-TV where our studios operate from to this day.

Share your Throwback Thursday pictures with us on Twitter and Facebook!

These pictures are courtesy of the wonderful staff at The Buffalo History Museum.
