Sweet Jenny’s owners Tara and Howard Cadmus brought their adorable pups to the studio with them this morning in a joint collaboration with their ice cream shop and the Erie County SPCA.
They made a delicious pet-friendly ice cream that you can feel safe giving to your pets – full of whole ingredients and fresh fruit (SKIP THE GRAPES & CITRUS!!), the ice cream was a pretty big hit with our honorary furry friends.
The Cadmus’ two companions are rescues from the SPCA and to help them out, all proceeds from their Doggone Delight will go directly toward helping the shelter care for dogs, cats and other neglected animals.
Help your dog stay cool this summer with this delightful frozen treat:
PEANUT BUTTER POPSICLES
-1 cup peanut butter, preferably unsalted and unsweetened
-Half a ripe banana, mashed
-Water as needed
1). In a small mixing bowl, combine peanut butter with a little water or half a mashed banana. The water and banana aren’t essential, but they help with freezing consistency.
2). Line an ice cube tray or cookie sheet with wax paper. (You don’t have to use the paper, but it can make prying the cubes out easier.)
3). Spoon the mixture into the cubes, or drop onto the tray just like you would cookie dough. Freeze for several hours or overnight. If you need to reuse the tray right away, pop out the cubes and store them in a bag or container in the freezer.
