National Cancer Survivors Day

A cancer diagnosis is one of the most life-changing moments in a patient’s life – and making it to the other side as a survivor is an ever bigger one.

That’s why this Sunday, June 1st, cancer survivors across the nation will join in a collective celebration for National Cancer Survivors Day.

We caught up with Dr. Jennifer Hydeman from Roswell Park for some helpful tips, and two cancer survivors, Cheryl Reinhardt and Mary Ellen Rickard, to hear their stories of survival. Each suggests regular screening for the disease, suggesting that if something feels wrong in your arm, leg, chest or anywhere on your body – have it checked out!
