Dr. Steven Lana joined us on the couch today, to talk about controlling allergies and asthma in your kids.
Asthma is the most common chronic condition of childhood. More than 6 million kids live with asthma in the United States, meaning 1 in nearly 12 children are affected.
Dr. Lana stresses that asthma is not a “one glove fits all” affliction and suggests that asthma patients know their triggers. For example, pollen, ragweed, pet dander, dust fumes and smoke are all respiratory irritants that can trigger an asthma attack.
