The Hollow Bistro’s “Chinese BBQ Pork Porterhouse”

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 35-40 minutes
Difficulty Level: Easy

• 4-10oz Pork porterhouse chop
• Stir fry vegetables(carrot, red onion, celery, broccoli, bell pepper)
• 4 cups of cooked rice-the style you prefer
• Sriracha hot sauce to garnish
• ¼ cup vegetable oil
• 1 sprig of scallions
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 1 tsp of ginger
• 1-2 leave of fresh basil
Chinese BBQ Sauce Recipe
• 5-6 minced garlic cloves
• 1 Tablespoon of fresh minced ginger
• 1 cup Chinese hoisin sauce
• ½ cup sherry cooking wine
• ½ cup soy sauce
• ½ cup brown sugar
• ½ tsp. Chinese 5 spice powder

1. Start cooking rice in rice cooker-should take about 25 minutes
2. Heat vegetable oil in sautee pan or wok
3. Sear pork on both sides
4. Place in 500 degree oven and cook until pork reaches 150 degrees
5. While pork is in oven prepare the stir fry vegetables and cook in sesame oil, ginger, and salt and pepper to taste
6. Once pork is closed to being done cook for 3 minutes with Chinese bbq sauce on top
7. Place stir fried vegetables on top of rice followed by pork porterhouse chop
8. garnish with sriracha sauce and chopped scallions

Second Helpings

1. Chop pork porterhouse into small pieces
2. Mix together 1 egg and 2 T of soy sauce
3. Heat 2 T of Oil in sautee pan or wok
4. Sautee leftover pork stir fried vegetables
5. Add rice and cook for 2 minutes
6. Fold in soy sauce and egg mixture constantly mixing for 1 minute
7. Top with Sriracha and scallion and basil to your liking
